PATON™ ECO 200 – COMPACT POWER FOR HOME AND IN FIELD
Inverter Welder PATON™ ECO 200 is a light, modern and efficient machine intended for direct current arc welding (MMA). Ideal both for DIY enthusiasts and assemblers or service workshops – everywhere where mobility, robustness and full functionality without unnecessary compromises count.
MORE POSSIBILITIES IN A SMALLER CASING
Model ECO 200 offers a maximum welding current of 200A, which allows trouble-free use of electrodes with a diameter from Ø1,6 mm to Ø5 mm – including those more demanding, such as basic electrodes 7018. A stable arc and easy striking ensure high weld quality even in difficult conditions.
Thanks to a duty cycle at the level of at least 40 % at maximum load, the device will prove itself in most household and workshop tasks – from simple repairs to prefabrication of steel components.
Compact dimensions and low mass make the welder handy and ready for intensive use in various locations. An enclosure with an IP33 ingress protection rating shields the device against dust and precipitation at an angle of up to 60° from the vertical, which increases its resistance to outdoor conditions.
MAXIMUM MOBILITY THANKS TO INVERTER TECHNOLOGY
The application of inverter technology, employing an increased frequency of the voltage supplying the transformer, has enabled a significant reduction of the dimensions and mass of the device – without compromises regarding performance or operating parameters. PATON™ ECO 200 weighs only 4,00 kg, which makes it exceptionally handy and easy to transport. It is an ideal choice for users who expect light, compact equipment adapted for work both in the workshop and in demanding field conditions.
RELIABLE OPERATION EVEN WITH UNSTABLE POWER SUPPLY
Welder PATON™ ECO 200 has been developed with the idea of reliable operation under conditions of unstable mains voltage. The device operates without difficulty within a wide input-voltage range from 170V to 260V, which makes it perfectly suitable for work in locations with poor-quality power supply, e.g. on building sites, allotments or when powered from generator sets.
Thanks to the built-in current-stabilisation system, the welder provides smooth and safe operation also when using long extension leads. For example – with an electrode Ø3,0 mm and a setting of 120A it is possible to supply power through a 2,5 mm² extension lead of up to 130 metres without parameter drop. With an electrode Ø5,0 mm and a current of 200A, the use of a 4,0 mm² cable enables effective work even at a length of up to 125 metres.
Such characteristics make ECO 200 an excellent choice wherever power-supply conditions are demanding – both in the workshop and during mobile tasks in the field.
INTELLIGENT SOLUTIONS FOR COMFORT AND EXCELLENT WELD QUALITY
Welder PATON™ ECO 200 has been equipped with an advanced set of assisting functions, which significantly improve welding quality and facilitate work – especially under difficult power-supply conditions and when using demanding electrodes.
PRECISE CONTROL OF WELDING PARAMETERS – Accurate regulation of current intensity allows optimal matching of settings to the specific material and electrode type, which translates into greater control over the process and better weld quality.
CERTAIN ARC IGNITION AND MAINTENANCE – The device provides certain and smooth arc ignition and its stable maintenance – even when working with difficult electrodes, such as basic type 7018. This minimises the number of false starts and improves comfort and efficiency of work.
Additionally, the welder automatically supports the user thanks to three intelligent functions:
- HOT-START – automatic temporary increase of current at start-up, which facilitates arc ignition and reduces the risk of electrode sticking, particularly when welding materials difficult to strike.
- ARC-FORCE – dynamic current correction during welding, stabilising the arc in case the electrode approaches the weld pool. This function reduces the risk of electrode sticking and allows stable arc guidance in constrained positions.
- ANTI-STICK – in the event of the electrode sticking to the material, the device automatically lowers the welding current, which enables quick and easy detachment of the electrode without risk of damage to the weld or the electrode.
ENERGY SAVINGS AND ENHANCED COMPONENT PROTECTION
The device is characterised by high energy efficiency – it consumes up to 50 % less energy than conventional power sources, which makes it more environmentally friendly and economical in operation. The internal electronics have been carefully safeguarded with a double layer of protective varnish, which effectively shields them against dust and moisture and extends the durability of the equipment even under demanding working conditions. Additional protection is provided by an enclosure with an IP33 ingress-protection rating, which increases the device’s resistance to adverse external factors, ensuring its reliability and durability during daily use – both in the workshop and in the field.
EFFECTIVE COOLING AND THERMAL PROTECTION – FOR LONGER SERVICE LIFE
Welder PATON™ ECO 200 has been designed with demanding conditions in mind – therefore an advanced cooling system has been employed that operates at an unchanging speed, regardless of the load level of the device. A constant airflow guarantees effective heat dissipation, protecting components from overheating and ensuring their longer durability.
The built-in thermal protection continuously monitors the temperature inside the device. If a safe level is exceeded, the system automatically initiates protective procedures, preventing damage and increasing user safety. Thanks to a specially designed enclosure and an optimised ventilation system, the device maintains high efficiency even in heavily dust-laden environments. Such solutions make ECO 200 cope well during intensive exploitation – both in the workshop and in the field.
HIGH-QUALITY POWER CABLE
The device is equipped with a sturdy, 2-metre power cable made entirely of copper, with a cross-section of 3×2,5 mm², adapted for operation with currents up to 200A. The copper core provides excellent electrical conductivity, and the high-temperature-resistant rubber insulation maintains flexibility even at low temperatures. At the same time, it effectively protects the cable against mechanical and thermal damage, for example in contact with hot metal.
