ARC Welder PATON™ STANDARD 350 – COMPACT POWER FOR INDUSTRIAL TASKS
PATON™ STANDARD 350 is a modern inverter welder designed for MMA welding with direct current. The device combines high output power with a compact design and moderate weight, which makes it an excellent choice for manufacturing facilities, locksmith workshops and service teams carrying out intensive welding operations in the field.
HIGH POWER AND PERFORMANCE IN A COMPACT FORM
The PATON™ STANDARD 350 welder enables operation with a welding current up to 350A, which allows full utilisation of electrodes with diameters from Ø1,6 mm to Ø6,0 mm – including basic electrodes of the 7018 type, which require precise arc striking and stable arc parameters. The device guarantees a smooth course of the welding process and high weld quality, even in demanding environmental conditions.
A duty cycle of at least 70 % at maximum load makes the STANDARD 350 model suitable for a wide range of applications: from everyday workshop repairs, through intensive construction works, up to prefabrication of steel components in an industrial environment.
Despite its high power, the unit retains compact dimensions and relatively low weight, which facilitates transport and field work. The enclosure with protection rating IP33 effectively secures the interior against dust and precipitation at an angle of up to 60° from vertical, which allows operation in variable outdoor conditions.
FULL FUNCTIONALITY IN A MOBILE DESIGN THANKS TO INVERTER TECHNOLOGY
The application of inverter technology, consisting in raising the input transformer voltage frequency, has enabled a significant reduction of the device’s overall dimensions and mass – while maintaining full efficiency and stable operating parameters. The welder itself weighs only 9,8 kg, which, combined with its compact design, makes it exceptionally handy and easy to transport. Therefore, the PATON™ STANDARD 350 represents an excellent choice for professionals who require efficient equipment for work both in the workshop and in demanding field conditions.
STABLE OPERATION EVEN WITH VOLTAGE FLUCTUATIONS
The PATON™ STANDARD 350 welder has been adapted for operation in environments with unstable power supply. The device functions correctly within a wide input-voltage range – from 340 V to 460 V – which makes it particularly useful in field conditions, on construction sites, during outdoor installation works and when powered by generator sets.
The integrated current-parameter stabilisation system provides smooth and safe welding even when using long extension leads. For instance – with an electrode Ø5,0 mm and a current of 220A, it is possible to work with a 4,0 mm² cross-section cable over a distance of up to 180 metres without loss of performance. Conversely, with an electrode Ø6,0 mm and a current of 270A, the same cable cross-section maintains optimal working conditions at a cable length of up to 135 metres.
Owing to such features, the STANDARD 350 model performs excellently both in workshop conditions and during tasks carried out in the field, where access to stable power supply is limited and equipment requirements are particularly high.
INTELLIGENT SOLUTIONS FOR MAXIMUM CONTROL AND WORK COMFORT
The PATON™ STANDARD 350 welder has been equipped with advanced auxiliary functions that make it easier for the operator to conduct the welding process – especially under conditions of unstable power supply and when working with electrodes that demand high precision and experience.
PRECISE WELDING CURRENT CONTROL – Enables accurate setting of operating parameters depending on electrode type and material, which allows the device to be adjusted to the specific task. Such a solution provides better control over the weld pool, process stability and repeatability of the weld.
RELIABLE ARC STRIKING AND STABLE ARC GUIDANCE – The welder allows easy arc initiation and its stable maintenance throughout the entire operation – also when using more demanding electrodes such as the basic 7018. This minimises the risk of interruptions and disturbances in welding, which directly translates into work efficiency and operating comfort.
In addition, the welder has been fitted with three automated functions that actively support the operator at key moments of the welding process, increasing work efficiency and user comfort:
- HOT-START – a short-term automatic increase of current at the start of welding facilitates arc striking, reducing the risk of the electrode sticking to the material. This function is particularly useful when working with materials that have challenging welding properties.
- ARC-FORCE – a dynamic correction of current intensity when the electrode approaches the weld pool. This ensures stable arc guidance, reduces the risk of electrode adhesion and facilitates welding in constrained positions.
- ANTI-STICK – in the event of electrode short-circuit with the material the device automatically lowers the current, which allows quick detachment of the electrode without damaging it and without affecting the weld surface.
EFFICIENT ENERGY MANAGEMENT AND ELECTRONIC DURABILITY IN ALL CONDITIONS
The welder has been designed with maximum energy efficiency in mind – it consumes up to 50 % less energy than traditional devices, which translates into lower operating costs and a reduced environmental impact.
All electronic components are coated with a double layer of protective varnish, which shields them against the effects of moisture, dust and other harmful external factors. This solution significantly extends component service life and enables equipment operation in demanding ambient conditions. Additionally, the enclosure with protection rating IP33 effectively protects the interior of the device against dust and precipitation, thanks to which the welder proves itself both in workshop spaces and during outdoor work.
EFFICIENT HEAT DISSIPATION AND THERMAL CONTROL – FOR CONTINUOUS READINESS FOR WORK
The PATON™ STANDARD 350 welder was designed for prolonged operation in demanding environmental conditions. The applied cooling system operates at a fixed speed irrespective of the load level, which ensures constant airflow and effective removal of excess heat. Such a design minimises the risk of component overheating, extending their durability and operating stability.
The integrated temperature-monitoring system continuously checks the conditions inside the device. If the permissible level is exceeded, protective mechanisms are activated automatically, which safeguard the electronics from damage and increase operational safety. An intelligently designed enclosure combined with an optimised ventilation system enables efficient cooling even in environments with an elevated dust level. Consequently, the STANDARD 350 model maintains high work efficiency – both under workshop conditions and during tasks performed in the field.
ROBUST POWER LEAD FOR DEMANDING APPLICATIONS
The PATON™ STANDARD 350 welder has been equipped with a 3-metre power lead made of copper conductors with a cross-section of 4×2,5 mm², which provides high electrical conductivity and safe power supply to the device at working currents up to 350A.
The insulation made of temperature-resistant synthetic rubber retains flexibility in both high and low temperatures, ensuring durability and safety during intensive use. An additional protective coating shields the lead from mechanical and thermal damage – such as contact with hot metal or accidental crushing – which makes it suitable for work in industrial and field conditions.
