The manufacturer provides 36 month warranty periods, valid for both consumer and business purchases. The warranty period begins on the date the equipment is sold to the end user, based on a valid proof of purchase (sales receipt or invoice).
If a product proves to be defective, does not match its description, or fails to function according to specifications, the customer is entitled to free repair, replacement, a price reduction, or a full refund.
Warranty coverage
The warranty covers only those defects that occur during the warranty period and are caused by the product itself or by faulty manufacturing.
During the base warranty period, our service team commits to the following actions for PATON™ equipment owners:
- Diagnosing and identifying the cause of the fault
- Supplying the necessary components for repair
- Replacing defective parts or modules
- Testing and verifying the repaired device
- Returning the repaired unit to the customer
Warranty service procedure
Products requiring service must be sent to our authorised service centre in Ireland.
To be eligible for warranty service, the following conditions must be met:
- Provide a valid proof of purchase (invoice or receipt showing the sale date)
- Submit a properly completed Warranty Certificate via email to ask@weldingmachinery.ie
- Include all required documents as per the user manual instructions
The warranty does NOT cover:
- Mechanical damage affecting functionality (e.g. damaged casing, cracked components, dropped unit, impact damage, damaged buttons or connectors)
- Corrosion leading to malfunction
- Damage caused by excessive humidity affecting electronic or power components
- Damage due to accumulation of conductive dust (e.g. carbon dust, metallic chips, etc.)
- Any unauthorised attempt to repair or modify internal components
- Damage caused by inappropriate accessories or unsuitable storage materials
Maintenance recommendations
Depending on usage conditions, internal assemblies and components should be cleaned with compressed air every six months to prevent faults. Before cleaning, remove the device cover. Clean carefully, keeping the compressor hose at a safe distance to avoid damage to electronic components or mechanical joints.
Exclusions from warranty coverage
Basic warranty obligations do not apply to parts that are subject to regular physical wear during normal use. Warranty claims for the following components will only be accepted within two weeks of the sale date:
- Power on/off button
- Welding parameter adjustment buttons
- Cable and hose connectors
- Control sockets
- Power cord and plug
- Carry handle, shoulder strap, case, box
- Electrode holder, ground clamp, welding torch, cables and hoses
The seller reserves the right to reject warranty service or set the warranty start date based on the month and year of manufacture, derived from the product’s serial number, in the following cases:
- If the warranty certificate is lost by the customer
- If the certificate is not properly filled out or was not completed at the time of sale
⚠️ To retain warranty rights, service must be performed exclusively at an authorised service centre within the specified warranty period.
